Museum of archeology Valletta: Group work

Our first task was to go on site and measure each and every wall and corner existent in the museum. Whilst measuring we noticed that there wasn't one wall which was straight unlike the plan that already existed of the place. We took photos of the place, exhibits, displays etc. to help us in the future work that had to be carried out.
After 1 week on site measuring and double checking our measurements we drew a planometric and plan view on CAD, also marking the angles from were the pictures of the place were taken.
Discussions about the existing layout were already taking place and we all agreed on one thing that something had to be done to make the Museum more interesting and worth going to visit.

Our First board with Images of the Museum

Plan of the Museum and Planometric View done with CAD

Sectionals of the Museum also done with CAD

Current Plan of Museum. One can notice that the walls are all at a 90 degree angle, which is not the case after measuring each wall one by one.

Bus shelter Renders

Further renders using 3D studio Max for my bus shelter:
This is only one of the designs i would be using for part of the bus shelter

I inserted a metal shell structure for reinforcement of the structure. Different views of bus shelter:

Bus shelter: Models and 3Ds Max

I decided to continue on the design inspired by infected red blood cells. I kept the texture found on the cell and designed different shapes taken from the stages of deterioration.
This was my first 3D render done on 3D S Max :)

This is a Model i made to represent the texture of the bus shelter made out of textile chiffon material which was burnt using a lighter, then used textile hardener to form the shape wanted.

Bus shelter: sketches

I started researching and sketching about different types of cells found in the human body studying the change of form of the organism structure
Different cell structure found in the human body:

Cell structures found in an insect's body:

Studies carried out of a human cell structure:
I found this shape highly interesting and could be developed further creating different shapes from these random lines.

This sketch portrays the a design of a bus shelter structure developed from the above sketches.

I also carried out some research about red blood cells infected by malaria. When malaria enters the human body by a mosquito it attacks the red blood cell and starts killing it by different stages of deterioration as it eats away on the cell.

This sketch shows the micro structure of a red blood cell when looking closley into the structure. i Found this texture highly interesting to continue on as part of the design of the bus shelter.

Shape of bus shelter inspired by the shape of the deteriorated red blood cell. the structure would evolve in shape taken from the deterioration of the red blood cell.

Bus shelter: Morphogenesis

I was inspired by the form of the red blood cells found in the human body. The cell deteriorates when infected by malaria. the cells are "torn" slowly untill it disintegrate.
